The Cold Steel Secret Edge 11SDT is a compact neck knife, based on the traditional ScottishSgian-dubh.

This is a knife that is traditionally worn in the stocking underneath a Scottish kilt.

The name ‘secret edge’ is a translation of the Gaelic name sgian-dubh. The knife was traditionally used as an EDC knife. So for food prep, and other daily tasks.

Today the sgian-dubh is mostly worn during ceremonial occasions as a part of the traditional Scottish costume.

This doesn’t mean that the Cold Steel Secret Edge is not meant to be used. The blade is made from AUS8A. A great type of steel that is easy to sharpen and is not affected by rust. The handle is made from Griv-Ex. A glass-reinforced plastic that is light-weight and strong.
